Services
Steve Baxter established this consulting business for the purpose of providing contract engineering and risk management services. The traditional business focus is on property insurance account engineering and risk management work and\or field servicing with focus on large commercial, institutional and industrial risks. Steve Baxter has extensive experience with "highly protected risk" (HPR) property accounts and with assessing business interruption exposures. In addition to property risk servicing, field evaluation work can be completed on other lines such as machinery breakdown (B&M), inland marine, premises and products liability, environmental liability as well as fleet. Reporting can be tailored to the various needs of those customers involved. This can vary from a basic recommendation report to a detailed recommendation report and/or include a brief risk report to a detailed engineering analysis within a risk assessment report. Follow-up consultation and facilitation (help with making improvements) can also be included within the scope of any project.
In recent years, training and experience has been developed in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and cyber risk exposures such that consulting services are now offered. BCL can also be contracted to provide training to junior engineers on various types of loss control and risk management for those companies that do not have the time or the specific expertise for in-house loss control training.
Plan reviews for new construction, sprinkler and alarm system design can be completed. New construction project co-ordination and special risk assessment work is also available and can be tailored to the customer needs. Formal plan review letters can be completed or email reviews. Follow-up consultation and facilitation would also be typically included here. Written communications and reporting can be tailored to the customer needs.
