Baxter Risk Consulting was incorporated on October 1, 1999. Over the past 8 years, BCL has provided loss control and risk management services to the insurance industry, engineering consulting companies and private industry.
This consulting business was established to do contract engineering and risk management work. The business focus is on account engineering type work and\or field servicing with focus on large industrial and\or HPR type business. In addition to property risk servicing, field evaluation work can be completed on other lines such as B&M, inland marine, premises and products liability as well as fleet. Formal plan reviews for new construction, sprinkler and alarm system design can be completed. New construction project co-ordination and special risk assessment work is also available and can be tailored to the customer needs.
Past work experience includes over 10 years of service with Kemper Insurance holding positions as Fire Protection Consultant (FPC), Senior FPC, Engineering Supervisor, Account Loss Prevention Consultant and most recently Account Executive – HPR Specialist. Work experience prior to Kemper, includes over 3 years with Factory Mutual Engineering in Toronto.
Extensive property experience is available in pulp and paper, steel (integrated mills, mini-mills and finishing mills), tire and rubber manufacturing, food processing, plastics manufacturing, mining and mineral processing (including underground), woodworking and warehousing. Also considerable experience over the years with breweries, distilleries, auto assembly plants, chemical plants, pharmaceutical manufacturing, hospitals, high-rise buildings and most heavy industries. Previous account engineering work involved international locations throughout the world.
Formal B&M training was completed with Kemper. Also had loss control training for general liability (premises and products), fleet and inland marine lines with extensive work experience over the past 12 years on all these lines.
International inspection capabilities are available. BCL holds Commercial GL and Professional Liability (E&O) policies with worldwide coverage. A valid passport and worldwide medical coverage makes rush work anywhere in the world possible.
